Medicare Advantage

What is a Medicare Advantage Plan?

Medicare Advantage is also known as Part C.

Medicare Advantage is a Medicare-approved plan from a private company. It offers an alternative to Original Medicare for health and drug coverage. Medicare Advantage Plans are "bundled" plans that include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D.

In most cases, you'll need to use in-network doctors.

Plans may have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare.

Plans usually offer extra benefits that Original Medicare does not cover like vision, hearing and dental services.

Medicare Supplement

What is a Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan?

Medicare Supplement Insurance fills the gaps in your health care expenses. There are gaps in Medicare coverage that you must either pay for out-of-pocket or cover with private insurance. A Medicare Supplement Insurance policy is sold by private insurance companies to help fill those gaps in coverage that exist.

You have the freedom to choose doctors you trust for your care.

Benefits remain the same year after year with this standardized plan.

Your coverage is portable. You are not restricted to use a network of health care providers.

Your policy is guaranteed to renew as long as premiums are paid on time.

Prescription Drug Coverage

What is Prescription Drug Coverage?

If you purchase a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C), Prescription Drug Coverage may be included. If you opt for Original Medicare, you will need to purchase a separate Part D Prescription Drug plan if you want prescription drug coverage.

Covers your prescription drugs.

Is often included in a Medicare Advantage Plan.

Can be purchased separately to go with Original Medicare.

Your policy is guaranteed to renew as long as premiums are paid on time.

Dental & Vision Plans

What do Dental & Vision Plans include?

If you purchase a Dental Plan or Vision Plan the coverage varies by health insurance provider. However, many of the common coverages include the following:

Routine hearing exam

Hearing aids

Preventative Dental Services

Comprehensive Dental Services

Glaucoma screening

Routine eye exam

Contacts and eyeglasses
